How Do I Learn Best?????

Graphic Organisers

visual-learner.jpg
Visual learners are those who learn things best through seeing them.
If you use the visual style, you prefer using images, pictures, colours, and maps to organise information and communicate with others.
You can easily visualise objects, plans and outcomes in your mind's eye

Often, visual learners will find that information "clicks" when it is explained with the aid of a chart or picture.

Study hints for visual learners:

  • Take written notes in lectures & class
  • Use colours to highlight important points
  • Pay attention to diagrams, charts, graphs and pictures in text books
  • Use graphic organisers such as concept maps and mind maps (with colours & diagrams) to organise information for an assignment or for revision for an exam.
  • Put summaries and concept maps on the walls in your study area
  • Use a wall planner.
